Jean Birchmier has been a loyal and faithful supporter of the Iowa 4-H Program. She was a 4-H member in Keokuk County and a 20 year volunteer in the Van Buren County 4-H Program. She has encouraged youth in various community service projects, instilling in the youth the values of an engaged, effective contributing citizen to society. She has assisted many low resource families and youth to grow in confidence and self esteem with their growth experiences in their 4-H careers. She served on the extension council for many years.
