Shane and Connie Kirschten can testify that 4-H is a family experience. Connie served as the leader of the Valley Volunteers 4-H club for nine years and on the 4-H Awards Committee for the past three years. She has dedicated many hours of time, talent and efforts to 4-H in Sioux County. Members of her club were actively involved in community service and leadership experiences. Shane served on the Extension Council for the past six years and as Sheep Superintendent and Beef Superintendent, as well as Herdsmanship judge throughout week of the fair. Their desire to promote 4-H and the life skills it teaches is evident in their support of the program and youth of Sioux County. Both Connie and Shane willing give of their time and talent to their community, church and neighbors. They exemplify the outcomes we desire to see in our 4-H’ers as they graduate from 4-H and enter the work world.
