Harold has been a 4-H parent and leader for the past 6 years. He guides and instructs the Jackson’s 4-H club in several areas. Service is a main priority. The club has several community service projects such as meals on wheels, building & landscaping a directory at the Sac City cemetery and various painting projects such as the Sac City Museum village, the Chautauqua Building and painting at the Sac County Fair grounds. The Sac City Museum projects and the Barn Quilt projects have involved Harold’s expertise. Harold has instructed the Jackson’s 4-H club in parliamentary procedure so meetings are conducted properly. He helps younger members with their presentations at the meetings. Harold helps with club lock-ins that had workshops in woodworking, and livestock showing and grooming. He to provides guidance and education and fun in 4-H. These are just a few of the things that Harold has helped with. Harold will say that it takes several people to make things work but he is a person that the club relies on.
