Gary and Shirley were both 9 year 4-H members in Delaware County. They both served on the 4-H food stand committee for years. and are chairs of the Delaware County Pork Grill Team who grilled daily for the 4-H food stand at the fair. Gary served as superintendent of the swine department, helping at weigh-ins, at the show and sale at the county fair. He was on the 4-H Task Force Committee planning for the future of 4-H in Delaware County. As a fair board member for 13 years, he worked with all the 4-H aspects of the fair.
Shirley has served on the 4-H Youth Committee for 13 years and served as county safety project leader. She is currently the poultry project, superintendent of the poultry show and co-leader of the Milo Livestock 4-H Club. Gary and Shirley have worked with many 4-H members in their project areas and with their community service projects. Their 2 children were both 9 year members and thy look forward to working with their grandson in 4-H.
