Lynn was leader of the Prairie Union Wildcats 4-H club and a sheep project leader in Linn County for over 15 years. He was a community leader and passionate about the county fair industry. Lynn served on the Linn County Fairboard and also as director of the Association of Iowa Fairs Northeast District. Lynn’s passions were fair, farming 4-H and sheep. To the members of his 4-H club, the Prairie Union Wildcats, he was simply “Papa Lynn”. Papa Lynn mentored and guided 4-H youth always encouraging them with a kind word and his big smile. Lynn’s contributions to Linn County 4-H and the Linn County Fair were numerous and his presence will be missed. Although Lynn is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in everyone whose lives he touched.
