2008 Chickasaw County - Ron McGregorRon’s first involvement with 4-H was as a member of the Bradford club in Chickasaw County in 1940.   Ron showed steers at the county fair for two or three years.  His son, Steve, started showing steers in 1967.  A few years later, Ron started helping as a beef superintendent and has continued to assist through his five children and now his grandchildren.  Ron states “Working on this committee with the youth has been a rewarding experience” as Ron has been presented with the thirty year pin as a superintendent/volunteer.  

·    Family has hosted many beef tours for ISU Extension families.  
·    Ron has served as a school board member for the Nashua-Plainfield District as well as being a board member for Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo.  
Has been a Beef Superintendent for thirty years.
