2008 Wappello County - Jim and Sandy CorderJim and Sandy Corder started volunteer work with the Wapello County 4-H program in 1980 when they became the leaders of the Hooves & Hats 4-H Club which their daughters Julie and Diana joined.  Over the years and still today, they are very active with the Horse project area, especially planning and conducting workshops and clinics to prepare the county 4-H’ers for the Expo and other shows.  Jim and Sandy were the force behind the building of the horse arenas at the old Eldon fairgrounds and the Ottumwa Park.  They and other committee members spent countless hours raising funds and overseeing the construction of the arenas.
