Roger Jensen devoted 24 years of his professional career to ISU Extension. He started as 4-H and Youth Leader in Sac & Ida Counties, eventually moving into County Extension Director positions Ida County, then Sac County. His leadership in Sac County resulted in Girl and Guy Talk programs, Ag in the Classroom, annual Farm Tractor and Machinery Safety schools, county-wide safety day camps, youth grants to support hunger programming and farm safety. He also helped lead wilderness adventures for youth. His support of the Sac County Fair was unwavering. Following his retirement, Roger was a vital partner in launching the successful Barn Quilts of Sac County project.
