Wilfred Groves IIIWil Groves has served the Hamilton County 4-H program for over 30 years.  He began his volunteer services as a photography project leader,  conducting at least 3 photography workshops each year for our county
4-H program.  When his son, Jackson became 4-H age he became a club leader of the Freedom Warriors 4-H Club.  Wil always has enjoyed challenging young people.  He’s always coming up with ways to entice young people to go outside their boxes and try  new adventures.  Recognizing that the 4-H Communications project area is one of the life skills he wanted his 4-H’ers to develop in his club, Wil told his club that if they had 100% of the membership participate in the county communications competition, that he would take the club roller skating and he would skate in his long red underware.  The club accepted the challenge and it was a memory that his 4-H’ers will never forget.   Wil is one of the outstanding adults in Iowa, who has had an impact on 4-H’ers across the state.
