Ginny Verdoorn proudly served the Sioux County 4-H Program as the Sioux County Office Assistant for more than 30 years. During that time, she saw many changes in the program and supported staff on the implementation of each of these changes, including the transition from ‘girls’ and ‘boys’ 4-H clubs to computerized membership enrollments. One volunteer remembers her willingness to always help everyone- the fact that she knew the answer to any 4-H question. ‘Everything seemed to be filed in her head’ was a statement one volunteer made. Another comment was ‘She had a serving attitude’.
Ginny is remembered for the positive influence she had to all youth who were part of the Sioux County 4-H Program. Not only did she serve 4-H through her work in the County Extension Office, she was a volunteer club leader for 6 years.
