Karen GeeKaren devoted over twenty years to Mills County 4-H programs as a club leader, county photography project leader, 4-H Youth Committee member, and county fair superintendent.  She was leader of the Busy Bees 4-H club for 20 years.  As leader, she truly lived the 4-H motto, “to make the best better” by encouraging her members with workshops, leader demonstrations, coaching working exhibits and presentations at the county communications contest, and providing constructive comments on projects so members could improve their exhibits.  She always took the time to help club members who did not have support at home so that they had projects they could be proud of.  At the county level, she met with 4-Hers in photography and set up photography workshops.  She also served on the county 4-H Youth committee and worked to improve the county fair.

Karen has always believed 4-H is a valuable organization in shaping young people to be outstanding citizens.
