Carl Beeler led his five children and fifteen grandchildren, as well as countless other youth with their county and state fair projects. He was a recognized face at both of these fairs and also at the Kansas City Royal, Ak-Sar-Ben, Denver Livestock Expo, International Livestock Expo in Chicago and Louisville and the Sioux Empire Show. He always had a helping hand for any 4-Her who crossed his path. Carl was the epitome of what it means to be a leader and role model to everyone who met him and he taught many lessons with lifelong impacts through his involvement in the 4-H community.
Throughout his lifetime, Carl was active in many church and civic organizations. He had been a county committee member of the ASCS, member of the Madison County Extension Council, Madison County Shorthorn Association, Truro School Board of Education, Iowa Farm Safety Council and Truro United Methodist Church. He was the recipient of various awards and recognition for his livestock and crop production practices. He was also involved in the lives of area youth as a Sunday school teacher, founding member of the Truro Saddle Club and 4-H leader for the Ohio Future Feeders for many years.
