2005 Wapello County - Neal McMullinNeal has been extensively involved in the 4-H community most of his life.  As a youth, he was a member of the Southeast Wapello 4-H Club.  His parents were leaders and he and his six siblings were all 4-H members.  

Neal has been involved in the Wapello County 4-H program for over 50 years.  He has always been willing to step forward and volunteer to benefit the youth and 4-H program.  Neal was the organizational leader for the Bladensburg Sodbusters 4-H club while his sons were growing up.  Neal has been a member of the Wapello County Fair Board and the 4-H Expo board for 25 plus years and continues to serve as a board member today.  

Neal McMullin has farmed 500 acres northwest of Batavia, Iowa, on his parent’s home place for the past 40 years. He raised hogs, cattle, corn and soybeans.  He and his wife, Cheryl, have two sons, Doug of Ottumwa and Tim of North Liberty.  Neal graduated from Cardinal High School of Eldon, IA, and the American Institute of Business in Des Moines.  They are members of the Agency United Methodist Church, Agency, Iowa.  Neal also served 9 years on the Cardinal School Board and is a member of the Batavia Lions Club.

Wapello County is lucky to have a volunteer like Neal!
