Max has been the official "weighmaster" of all 4-H and FFA livestock at the Pottawattamie County Fair for nearly 50 years. He is always ready to come and operate the scales at weigh-ins and at the county fair each year. He enjoys getting to know all of the members and always takes the time to make sure that the 4-H members understand what is being done and that they are satisfied with the results.
Max had two children that were in 4-H in East Pottawattamie County and several of his grand children were active 4-H members in Cass County. Max is not the kind of person that needs recognition for his volunteer efforts. He does this job out of a true love for seeing the accomplishments of our young people.
