Dixie has been a real champion of the Worth County 4-H program beginning with her tireless work as a 4-H Club Leader, 4-H Committee Member, and Worth County Extension Council Member. She was very instrumental in helping Worth County Extension become one of the very first Counties in the state to pass the Extension Referendum and by an extremely favorable margin.
Dixie has played a key role in assisting many Worth County 4-H Senior Members to accomplish several achievements beyond the County level. A number of Area 4-H Award winners have been successful in being named to the Washington D.C. National 4-H Conference, State 4-H Council, and National 4-H Club Congress programs thanks to Dixie’s efforts. She continues today to work with 4-H Youth on a one on one basis to help them reach their 4-H goals.
