Susan Hoffman has been an active part of the Greene County 4-H program for over 45 years. After spending nine years as a 4-H member during her childhood, Susan went on to serve as a leader for the Greenbrier-Go-Getters 4-H club for 22 years. She also spent four years serving on the County Youth and 4-H committee and three years on the Extension Council. Susan coordinated the county awards day program for four years and held county workshops for two years. Aside from her local and area involvement in 4-H, she has also been active on the state level. Susan has attended the NCRVF for 9 years and served on the Meals, Registration, and Facility committee for the 2001 NCRVF held in Iowa. After retiring as a 4-H club leader in 2000, Susan has continued to serve the 4-H program by judging county fairs, coordinating project workshops and serving as a superintendent for the 4-H food stand at the Greene County fair.
Susan and her husband have 5 daughters who all played active roles in the 4-H program. She also has 3 grandsons, one now becoming involved in 4-H.
