Julie Nelson has been a 4-H leader of the Highland Happy Hustlers for 24 years. She has served on the 4-H Youth Committee for the last 14 years. Under her leadership the club has made many generous contributions to the Iowa 4-H Foundation. Her club raises money by making and selling homemade apple and rhubarb pies. They have also given money for 4-H road signs for the county. This spring the club donated money for landscaping in front of the Heritage Center, new home for Palo Alto County Extension. Julie is also active in the Ruthven community and serves on a number of committees and boards in the county.
