Grace Vandemark began her 4-H career as a member of the Douglas Daisies 4-H Club at Woodbine. Later Grace served as the adult leader of the Logan Lassies 4-H Club. Her children also participated in 4-H.
Grace has served as a Harrison County 4-H and Youth Committee member for 17 years. She received her 30 year 4-H Leader Award in 1999 and continues to add years to her volunteer record.
Grace is a member of the Harrison County Fair Board and annual chairperson for the Harrison County Fair talent contest. She serves as a superintendent in the 4-H Exhibit Hall and assists with judging static exhibits each year. Grace judges at numerous county fairs and at the Iowa State Fair each year. Grace served as volunteer advisor to the Iowa State 4-H Council for many years.
Grace is a professional clown working in western Iowa and the Omaha-council Bluffs metro area. Grace taught clowning to 12 Persia Satellite 4-H club members. Grace served as instructor for the Harrison county Extension Kid-Ability school enrichment program for many years.
