FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Twenty-four hours to support Iowa 4-H
Iowa 4-H Giving Day is October 3-4
AMES, Iowa-October 1-7, 2023 marks National 4-H Week and the Iowa 4-H Foundation is celebrating in a special way. Starting at noon on October 3rd, 4-H friends and alumni can make a gift to support the 4-H Program in Iowa during Iowa 4-H Giving Day.
For 24 hours, donors can make a contribution to one of the 4-H Program Priority areas or to one of 48 participating counties. Donations will support local efforts, help provide new program opportunities and make 4-H possible for families in need.
“Iowa 4-H Giving Day is a way for 4-H supporters to come together and show their support for the Iowa 4-H Program,” said Emily Saveraid, Executive Director of the Iowa 4-H Foundation. “It’s also a great time to reminisce and share the impact the 4-H Program has on its members.”
“The Iowa 4-H Program reaches over 100,000 youth each year in Iowa and private support from donors is essential to ensure that the innovation and youth development that the 4-H Program is known for continues well into the future,” Saveraid said.
Visit www.iowa4hgivingday.org to join with hundreds of supporters from across the state to make a difference for 4-H’ers in the state of Iowa.
