The recipients of the 2026 Pioneer Seed Grants have been awarded. Designed to stimulate local 4-H clubs in Iowa to plan and carry out community improvement activities, Pioneer provides “seed money” needed to make the projects successful. 4-H Club members are responsible for planning, writing and carrying out the community service project. In addition, in celebration of America250 and the 100th Anniversary of Pioneer, 20 clubs received a $250 grant to plant a tree in their community as a part of the Iowa Department of Agriculture's youth tree planting initiative.
