B.J. Brugman is CEO of Distynct Corporation in Ames. B.J. is a graduate of Iowa State University (Ag Business ‘12), Purdue University (MS Ag Economics ‘16) and Indiana University (MBA ‘16.) He serves as a Chapter Advisor for Eta Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity at Iowa State University and is a member of Cornerstone Church. B.J., his wife Kayla and son Calvin reside in Ames. As a member of the Clay Raiders 4-H Club in Clay County, B.J. was active in livestock, static projects, communications and service. About 4-H, B.J. says, “I think 4-H is as real as it gets. These are the values that we want everyone, especially our kids, to exhibit. The skills learned in 4-H create future ‘do-ers’. We need more ‘do-ers’ in our workplaces, at school, and in our communities.”
