Iowa 4-H members are eligible to apply for 4-H scholarships if they meet individual scholarship requirements. Applicants must enroll as a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours) to receive scholarship awards. Only ONE application form is needed for all Iowa 4-H scholarships. Eligible Iowa 4-H youth may apply for more than one scholarship, however, only one scholarship per individual will be awarded per academic year. Please visit the links below for more information.

Hills Bank Leadership Grant

IMPORTANT: Application deadline is March 1, 2024.

Open to current high school Juniors in Southeastern Iowa, this program offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable leadership skills and earn a 4-H Scholarship. You do not need to be a current Iowa 4-H member to apply for the Leadership Scholarship program.

Within the application is a section to send the request to each reference for a letter to be submitted on your behalf.  Please begin your application in a timely fashion to give your references time to submit their letter.

Other County 4-H Scholarships

The Iowa 4-H Foundation helps to facilitate several county scholarships, but the application and selection happen at the local level. Find additional information below. 

Drew Scott Memorial Scholarship
Applicants must be an active Grundy County 4-H member and a freshman in the fall, attending any two or four-year college, university or technical school pursuing a degree in agriculture (preferred but not required).

Frankenfield-Carpenter Scholarship
Applicants must be an active Floyd County 4-H member and a freshman in the fall, attending any two or four-year college, university or technical school pursuing any field of study.

Hubert Rossol Memorial 4-H Scholarship
This 4-H scholarship is made possible by the Hubert Rossol Memorial to establish an annual scholarship to a Bremer County 4-H member enrolling as a freshman at either a two or four-year accredited college or university majoring in the fields leading to an agriculture career.

Jesse A. and Irene W. McIntyre Scholarship
Applicants must be an active Fremont County 4-H member and a freshman in the fall, attending any two or four-year college university or technical school pursuing any field of study.

Mitchell and Ida Mae Bock 4-H Scholarship
Applicants must be an active Hancock County 4-H member as high school seniors, attending any college, university, or technical school and pursuing any field of study.

Stauffer Family Scholarship
Applicants must be an active Floyd County 4-H member and a freshman in the fall, attending any two or four-year college, university or technical school pursuing any field of study.

Tom and Ronda Lyon Memorial Scholarship
Applicants must be a Warren County 4-H member and a freshman in the fall, attending any two or four-year college, university or technical school in Iowa pursuing any field of study related to present 4-H project area(s).
