The Iowa 4-H Foundation invites you to support the Legacy Awards Gala, an evening to celebrate Iowa 4-H and to recognize those who have made a significant impact on the program. Come help us honor four outstanding supporters of the Iowa 4-H program, make a contribution during the dessert auction and meet 4-H'ers showcasing their exhibits!

Event Information

We are looking forward to a fun night! Come in the main doors and you will see the check-in table. Be sure to grab your name badge and table number before heading out to enjoy the 4-H'er exhibits, photo booth and reception time. 

Attire for the evening is semi-formal, cocktail. Photos from 2019 event.

The 2019 Honorees*

Individual Supporter:  Dean and Adele Bowden (Webster City, Iowa)

Dean and Adele Bowden believe in the 4-H mission as 4-H alums from Buchanan County. The Bowdens have provided support to 4-H on the state and county levels and recently made a generous gift to Clover Woods Camp & Retreat Center. The Bowdens live in Hamilton County.

Outstanding Alum:  Charles Sukup (Sheffield, Iowa)

As a 4-H alum from Franklin County, Charles Sukup is committed to giving back. Through his volunteer service and his role as President of Sukup Manufacturing, Charles is an outstanding example of the type of leader the 4-H Program produces. Charles was inducted into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame in 2011.

Hills Bank & Trust Company has a long-standing commitment to the 4-H Program. For over 20 years they have provided their innovative leadership grant, in addition to support they provide in their local communities. Opening in 1904, Hills Bank & Trust Company has grown to become one of Iowa’s largest independent banks. 

Contributing Youth:  Kaylee Rivera (Shelby, Iowa)

Kaylee Rivera, a Shelby County 4-H’er, is using the communications and leadership skills she has gained through her involvement in 4-H to make a positive impact on her peers. Kaylee is a representative for the Be Strong Bullying Program and Love Yourself Project, advocating for bullying prevention.
