The Iowa 4-H Foundation recognizes that 4-H's continued excellence and future growth depend on private support from individual and corporate donors as well as other non-profit public and private foundations. Foundation trustees are planning for a future when endowment funds, established by prominent 4-H alumni and friends, provide the support needed to maintain 4-H far into the future.
Annual fundraising will need to increase to provide year-to-year support for traditional 4-H programs such as animal science projects and livestock judging teams, or new innovative programs such as the Studio 4-H virtual club and the Bratney Companies Robotics Competition.
Newly named endowments from individual donors will need to provide permanent, perpetual funding for specific projects and innovative programs.
