2020 Iowa 4-H Foundation Legacy Awards Gala Raises Record Funds for Iowa 4-H

AMES, Iowa – Iowa 4-H supporters gathered on February 28 to celebrate and honor four award recipients at the 2020 Iowa 4-H Legacy Awards Gala. The event not only raised significant funds to support the work of the Iowa 4-H Foundation, it acknowledged those who have impacted the Iowa 4-H Program and showcased the talents of 4-H’ers from across the state. At the end of the evening, over $158,000 was raised to support Iowa 4-H.

“Every year, attendees, honorees and 4-H’ers raise the bar on the success of this event. We are grateful for their support,” said Emily Saveraid, Executive Director of the Iowa 4-H Foundation. “The stories told by the honorees truly showcase the impact of the Iowa 4-H Program and the future is bright!”

Over the past five years of the Iowa 4-H Legacy Awards, more than a half a million dollars has been raised to support 4-H across the state. All made possible by people who have come together and decided the 4-H Program is worth investing in.
