Huser to Serve on Iowa 4-H Foundation Board
David Huser selected to serve on the Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees
AMES, Iowa- David Huser of Waverly was selected to serve on the Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees. Huser is the Executive Vice President at First National Bank in Waverly, Iowa. He was a Sac County 4-H’er for ten years. “I very much enjoyed my 4-H experience,” said Huser, who attends the Bremer County Fair every year where the First National Bank contributes funds for county 4-H awards.
“I support 4-H because of the valuable learning experiences that will help guide those involved in their future lifetime endeavors,” said Huser.
Huser is a member of the First National Bank Board, the Iowa Bankers Mortgage Corporation and a past member of the Iowa Bankers Association Board. He is also the Treasurer of Masonic Tyrrell Lodge, the Vice President of Waverly Area Development Group and a member of several community organizations in Waverly. He is a graduate of Iowa State University and the UW Graduate School of Banking.
“As an Iowa 4-H alumnus, David Huser knows firsthand what 4-H can do for young people,” said Albert Grunenwald, executive director of the Iowa 4-H Foundation. “We are delighted to add his skills and experience to our board.”
Huser joins a 25-member board that provides the vision and fiscal oversight for the Iowa 4-H Foundation. The Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees is comprised of volunteers from both the public and private sectors who are leaders in their respective fields.
The Iowa 4-H Foundation provides the private financial resources to develop and deliver quality 4-H youth programs throughout the state of Iowa. These opportunities help young people enhance their ability to use critical thinking, leadership, communication, and social skills – tools that will give them a competitive edge in their future endeavors.
