“We are always inspired by our scholarship recipients and the impact they have had on their communities,” said Albert Grunenwald, Iowa 4-H Foundation Executive Director. “We are proud to work with many different donors to provide opportunities to invest in the futures of these students. We know that these 4-H’ers will continue to make a difference regardless of where they go to school or what they study.”
Three brand new scholarships were awarded for 2015. These new scholarships are: the Den Adel Family Farm 4-H Scholarship, the Robert E. and Harriet J. Smith 4-H Scholarship and the Campbell-Determan Family 4-H Scholarship.
In addition to the traditional scholarship program, the Iowa 4-H Foundation partners with Hills Bank and Trust Company to provide a unique opportunity; the Hills Bank Leadership Program Grant Awards. Each year, Hills Bank & Trust contributes $20,000 to the Iowa 4-H Foundation to award a $1,000 scholarship to 20 high school juniors. These students are selected to participate in the program, complete a year of leadership training and receive the scholarship upon their graduation.
