Saveraid Joins Iowa 4-H Foundation as Development Director

AMES, Iowa – Emily Saveraid was named as Development Director of the Iowa 4-H Foundation effective Jan. 14, 2015. Emily graduated from Wartburg College and earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and political science and is currently pursuing her masters in Philanthropy and Non Profit Development from the University of Northern Iowa.

Iowa 4-H alumna, Emily Saveraid, to work with donors to grow the Iowa 4-H Program

AMES, Iowa – Emily Saveraid was named as Development Director of the Iowa 4-H Foundation effective Jan. 14, 2015. Emily graduated from Wartburg College and earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and political science and is currently pursuing her masters in Philanthropy and Non Profit Development from the University of Northern Iowa.

“The opportunity to hire a former Iowa 4-H’er is truly exciting for me,” said Albert Grunenwald, the Executive Director of the Iowa 4-H Foundation. “Emily brings a great passion and dedication for helping young people succeed thorugh the 4-H opportunities we deliver.”

At the Iowa 4-H Foundation, Emily will be working with individual and corporate donors across the state to continue to grow support for the 4-H youth program in Iowa. She can be contacted by email at esaver@iastate.edu.

Emily was a nine-year 4-H’er from Linn County. She participated in projects from home improvement and photography to sheep and horse. Emily also served on State 4-H Council and the Iowa 4-H Foundation Board as a youth trustee. “4-H greatly impacted me as a youth and influenced my future. I look forward to working with donors across the state to provide the same opportunities I had to current and future Iowa 4-H members,” said Saveraid. Emily and her husband, Greg, raise Percheron draft horses and live in the Elkhart, Iowa. They raise a couple of foals each year and show at the Iowa State Fair.
