AMES, Iowa- The Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees has appointed Albert Grunenwald as Interim Executive Director effective July 30, 2014.
Grunenwald has been with the Iowa 4-H Foundation for nearly 19 years, having served as the organization’s Associate Director and most recently Chief Operating Officer the past two years. He manages daily operations, personnel and annual giving.
“With his energy and enthusiasm, Grunenwald is a great asset to the team,” says Mitch Baum, Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees President. “He has the knowledge and understanding of this organization to continue moving the foundation forward during the interim period.”
"As a 4-H alum and parent of 4-H'ers, I am honored to serve the Iowa 4-H program in this capacity,” says Grunenwald. "I look forward to working with individuals and businesses across the state who want 'To Make the Best Better' for all Iowa youth."
Grunenwald will focus on fundraising priorities, including 4-H scholarships, recognition opportunities, and facility improvements at the Iowa 4-H Center near Madrid.
