Fish Kuhlmann Resigns as Executive Director at Iowa 4-H Foundation

AMES, Iowa- The Iowa 4-H Foundation announced that Kris Fish Kuhlmann has resigned from her two-year post as Executive Director effective July 24, 2014.

“During her tenure with the Iowa 4-H Foundation, Kris continuously worked to help the Foundation remain successful through their motto, ‘To Make the Best Better’ for Iowa 4-H,” said Deb Pullin-Van Auken, Iowa 4-H Foundation Past President. “Out in the counties or in the office, she lived out her passion for the clover, giving back all she could to an organization that gave her so much as a Kossuth County 4-H member.”

In a written statement, Fish Kuhlmann explained, “I have been so lucky and blessed to be able to live out my life passion for the Clover and for what it did for me personally and hopefully make a positive impact allowing Iowa youth experiences to reach their best potential.  That is the reason for which I came, hoping ‘To Make the Best Better’ and leave this place better than I found it.”

In the interim period, Albert Grunenwald, Chief Operating Officer, and Mitch Baum, President, will step forward to help serve in the duties of the Executive Director.

“I personally want to thank Fish Kuhlmann for her dedication and contributions to the Iowa 4-H Foundation,” says Baum.

Grunenwald stated, “Kris built something special here. The enduring success of our organization will serve as a great testament to the progress we’ve made during her time at the foundation.”
