Kate Olson to Serve on Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees

AMES, IOWA- Kate Olson, county extension program coordinator in Cass County, was welcomed to the Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees at their annual meeting on September 21, 2012 held at Pioneer in Johnston, Iowa.
Olson is a graduate of Iowa State University in animal science. She has a background working in private industry with livestock productions, communications and training, and was a 9-year Cass County 4-H member. Kate, along with her husband Jon and two young children, lives on a farm north of Atlantic.

“We are honored and pleased to welcome to our board six excellent, professional new trustees with a long history of dedication, loyalty and passion to the 4-H organization,” said Kris Fish Kuhlmann, Executive Director of the Iowa 4-H Foundation.
Along with five other newly elected trustees, Olson joins a board that has pledged to raise $2.4 million on behalf of the Iowa 4-H Foundation. The Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees is comprised of volunteers in various industries: Iowa State University Extension staff, private business and government professionals, farmers, community leaders, and State 4-H Council representatives and others.
