Tyler Pickhinke to Serve on Iowa 4-H Foundation Board

AMES, IOWA- Tyler Pickhinke, junior at Ridge View High School, was welcomed to the Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees at their annual meeting on September 21, 2012 held at Pioneer in Johnston, Iowa. Pickhinke is serving as the youth trustee, representing the Iowa 4-H State Council.
Pickhinke is a junior at Ridge View High School in Holstein where he is involved on Student Council, Honor Roll, and an active band member. He is a member for the 4-H State Council, past Technology Team, attended the State Conference and is active in the Early Achievers 4-H Club.

“We honor a very symbolic representation of caring adults partnering with youth through a youth trustee who serves on our board,” said Kris Fish Kuhlmann, Executive Director of the Iowa 4-H Foundation.
Pickhinke is a junior at Ridge View High School in Holstein where he is involved on Student Council, Honor Roll, and an active band member. He is a member for the 4-H State Council, past Technology Team, attended the State Conference and is active in the Early Achievers 4-H Club.
“We are honored and pleased to welcome to our board six professional new trustees with a long history of dedication, loyalty and passion to the 4-H organization. We have confidence we are in good hands as we implement our new strategic plan and undertake exciting capital projects to help propel Iowa 4-H,” said Kuhlmann.
Along with five other newly elected trustees, Pickhinke joins a board that has pledged to raise $2.4 million on behalf of the Iowa 4-H Foundation. The Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees is comprised of volunteers in various industries: Iowa State University Extension staff, private business and government professionals, farmers, community leaders, and State 4-H Council representatives and others.
