Sue Peyton to Serve on Iowa 4-H Foundation Board

AMES, Iowa- Sue Peyton, farm business manager of Peyton Inc., was welcomed to the Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees at their annual meeting on September 21, 2012 held at Pioneer in Johnston, Iowa.

Peyton holds bachelor’s of science in home economics education, a master’s of science in educational psychology from Oklahoma State University, and a Ph.D. in higher education from Iowa State University. She resides in Sac City with her husband Harold. They have two grown children that were very active in 4-H and both attended Iowa State University.

We have confidence we are in good hands as we implement our new strategic plan and undertake exciting capital projects to help propel Iowa 4-H.  Their vision, creativity and expertise offer us the innovative leadership needed to continue to evolve and develop as a cultural organization,” said Kris Fish Kuhlmann, Executive Director of the Iowa 4-H Foundation.
 
Along with five other newly elected trustees, Peyton joins a board that has pledged to raise $2.4 million on behalf of the Iowa 4-H Foundation. The Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees is comprised of volunteers in various industries: Iowa State University Extension staff, private business and government professionals, farmers, community leaders, and State 4-H Council representatives and others.
 
About the Iowa 4-H Foundation
The Iowa 4-H Foundation provides financial resources for youth development through 4-H. The 4-H Foundation also provides funds for overall support of the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach 4-H Youth Development Program, helping support volunteer recruitment and training, marketing and promotions for membership recruitment and the creation of new program partnerships, and support for program leadership, strategic planning and endowments for the future.
