Julie and Scott Niess of Osage, IA, have been 4-H club leaders in Mitchell County for a number of years.
4-H leaders are expected to help 4-H club members grow and reach their fullest potential through meaningful, educational experiences. Leaders are also expected to inform and encourage members, parents and other volunteers to take part in 4-H activities that offer the best chance for their success. They need to be committed, caring and supportive of members and 4-H families. Julie and Scott Niess have been all of that and more.
Even though they have retired as 4-H club leaders, they continue to support the youth in our community.
