Alan Stevens has been a long time supporter of the Worth County 4-H program in a number of ways. All of his children were extremely active 4-H members of the Deer Creek Wohelos and Ribbon Takers 4-H Clubs for all the years they could be members of 4-H. They had a wide array of projects including food and nutrition, clothing, small engines, swine, beef, and tractors just to name a few. Alan’s club leader work with the Deer Creek Ribbon Takers Club extended on to the Worth County 4-H Committee where he served for a number of years as an adult mentor and advisor to a number of Worth County ISU Extension Staff Members. He provided much guidance and advice for 4-H programming in the county. His support was also realized through resources he provided to the Worth County 4-H Foundation by donating a couple of swine from his farrow to finish operation to the County 4-H Pig Roast fundraiser for a number of years.
