2012 Monona County- Jill Hausman

In 2011 Jill Hausman was recognized for 25 years of volunteer service to the Monona County 4-H program.  As a 4-H leader, she has made a valuable contribution to the youth of our county.

Her club, the Franklin Go-Getters, is involved with many community service projects.  Jill was a 9-year member of the Onawaettes, now the Franklin Go-Getters, where she participated in home improvement, food and nutrition, clothing, childcare and gardening projects.

Jill was awarded the Monona County 4-H Leader of the Year in 1989 and received the 4-H Alumni Award in 2003.
She has also been an adult leader with the West Monona School Key Club for over 15 years and has been a member of the Onawa Park Board for over 10 years.  She was instrumental in the renovation of three community parks and in the construction of a community skate park.

Jill’s husband, Marvin, is a long-time Monona County farmer.  All three of their daughters were active 4-H members.  They have 8 grandchildren, three of which have joined and are active in 4-H as well.

Jill is a great asset to the Monona County 4-H program as well as an outstanding role model for her community and family.
