Willie and Ruth both became leaders when their children started 4-H and continued through their children’s 10 years of 4-H. Willie was involved with the Dairy department and assisted with the hog and horse project areas. Ruth was involved with the girl’s project areas. They continued their involvement with 4-H through the years assisting and supporting the projects at the fair. Ruth helped her two grandchildren with their 4-H projects during their 10 years of 4-H. She continues to assist with fair judging and is always ready to volunteer when called upon to support the 4-H program. Willie and Ruth’s children understood the importance of giving back to the program as well and have both been leaders and continue to support the 4-H program.
