Lois Graven was a 4H Leader for over 20 years, served on 4H and Youth Committees at the county and state level. In 1969 she was recognized as an Honorary 4-H Member of her club. The 4H Alumni Award was given to Lois by Greene County in 1979 and a state level recognition in 2002. She has been a judge for County and State Fairs for over 50 years.
A 4H’er made this statement: “As an adult when our paths cross, she reminds me to keep using the skills and interest that began in 4H and to teach them to my children. I always strive to remember the patience and encouragement Lois offered when working with youth and to do the same myself.”
Lois always has a positive, encouraging, and caring attitude. She unselfishly gave of her time and talents to 4H. This involved much time, effort, and commitment, but she loved every minute!
