Jeanne Watts began her 4-H experience in Minnesota in the club her parents originated. She attended that club for 6 years and completed her 9 years in Iowa when her dad, Bob Burnhart, became County Director in Wright County. As a 4-H’er, she participated in several project areas including sewing, home improvement, cooking, and demonstrations. She also served in all the club offices.
Jeanne’s experiences as a 4-H’er served her well as she served as a 4-H club leader for 23 years in Mitchell County. Her favorite activity and club emphasis was on demonstrations. She had several of her club members go on to state competition in that project area.
Jeanne continues to support 4-H in Mitchell County as a volunteer.
