Elmer has been a 4-H and Keokuk County Expo supporter since before most people can remember. He has been one of the constants in the 4-H Livestock formula. His efforts could only be measured in years of extensive service. Serving as Swine and Carcass Committee Chair and keeping a watchful eye and strong hand on such needs as bedding, scales, weigh-in help, and fair setup and take down. Elmer has also served for many years on the Iowa State Fair Swine Weigh-in Committee.
Elmer’s family have been long time 4-Hers, with a daughter who is currently a 4-H leader and grandkids who are carrying on the family tradition. Elmer Greiner is truly an icon of Keokuk County 4-H and Expo.
