Glenys has been a staunch 4-H supporter for over 22years. She was leader for the Washington Busy Beavers 4-H club which under her leadership grew to be the largest club in Linn County. She has served on the beef committee for 2 terms and is currently a member of the Linn County Youth Programs Committee (her third term).
Throughout all of these experiences, the one thing that stands out is Glenys’s concern for the young people. No matter what the issue under discussion, Glenys keeps the conversation focused on what is best for the growth and development of the members.
Fun, hands on learning is a priority for Glenys. She has led beef field trips to Ames which included a side trip to Adventureland, introduced a beef obstacle course at County Fair to make learning fun and encourages youth involvement on the beef committee. Glenys embodies the 4-H spirit and continues to strive to “Make the Best Better” for Linn County 4-H.
