Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame Inductees

Bud Neppl was an active 4-H member in Emmet County representing Emmet county at the 1949 National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago.  He was active in the livestock areas of 4-H and was a member of the livestock judging team participating at the Iowa State Fair.   

As an adult, Bud came back to his own club serving as 4-H leader of the EE club for many years.  4-H members remember with admiration Bud’s talent in leading the club so they learned new things while still having fun.  He also was a member of the Emmet county 4-H and Youth committee for numerous years. Bud Neppl was a nine year member of the Emmet County Fair Board,too.  All of these activities took place in the 1950s and 1960s.  In 1979, Bud served as the Emmet County chairperson of the initial statewide 4-H 400 campaign drive.  He has supported the state 4-H camp as well.   

Bud is active in his church as a Church Director, served 8 years as an Emmet County Supervisor and continues his interest and support of the 4-H program.   Our sincere thanks to Bud Neppl for the leadership he has given to the Emmet County 4-H program.
