2022 Dickinson County Mary Weaver

Mary Weaver’s involvement in 4-H began many years ago when her children and step-children were involved. She started out as a 4-H parent, of course, then became a leader of the Milford Peppy Peppers, a position she held for a few years.

Mary and her family became part of the Milford Pioneers later.   Mary could always be counted on to help with anything the club needed—whether it was leg work, making calls or providing anything to help accomplish the task at hand.

During the years when the Milford Pioneers 4-H Club began to grow quickly, Mary became an assistant leader—creating relationships with club members, helping them with projects and ideas, leading committees, helping with club projects both large and small, and doing whatever was asked of her.

At the club’s largest membership, she helped mentor a group of 49 members.   Mary has been part of the fair’s static committee, the horse project area, and also strived to become involved in establishing a platform for our county fair queen competition.

Mary’s leadership involvement with the Milford Pioneers has spanned more than a decade, but she has been involved in 4-H overall for SO much longer. She has devoted most of her adult life to 4-H, and to the lucky youth of Dickinson County.

Mary Weaver is the definition of boundless energy, and the very illustration of compassion and care. The youth of Dickinson County have been blessed over and over again because of her love for—and involvement in—Dickinson County 4H.
