Ethel was a girl’s 4-H leader for 15 years, 1955-1971, during that time she was also a project leader for four girls club teaching them about food and nutrition. Ethel was one of the first if not the first to start the boy’s Food & Nutrition club in Davis County. She supported the 4-H program by giving awards at awards night till she was unable to attend. The family still sponsors the awards to this day. She took a lot of enjoyment out of helping the youth of Davis County.
