2018 Marshall County: Karen Betts

Karen Betts was born and raised in Albion, Iowa, the town she still calls home. She is a life-long 4-Her. She was a 4-Her in her youth. She has been helping the next generation of youth for decades.

She started the Albion Ables 4-H Club in 1975. She has been the club leader on and off for at least 15 years.  She also served as the rabbit project leader. This led to her being the county rabbit superintendent for over 10 years.

She is the mother of Andrea and Aaron who were very active in 4-H.

In addition, she served on the Marshall County Fair Board for about 15 years.

She works for her community, is full of creative ideas, and always looks forward to the next fair.  She is continually striving to make the best, better.
