Washington County is proud to recognize Howard and Shirley for their many years of outstanding support and dedication to the county 4-H program.
Howard’s Contributions:
*4-H leader of the Limecreek Livewires for 48 years (was a member of the club from 12 years of age and was in the club as a member when newly formed)
*Member of county committee for two terms
*Beef superintendent for 6 years
*Coached county livestock judging team
*Received 4-H “notorious service award”
*Volunteer Service Award from Iowa State Fair
Shirley’s Contributions:
*4-H leader of the 4-H Maidens for 17 years
*Served on county committee for two terms, also chairman for two years
*Superintendent of girls building for 4-6 years*Received 4-H “notorious service award”
