Michelle has been a strong supporter of the Iowa and Van Buren County 4-H program for more than 13 years. She is a mother of 7 children and 3 have graduated from the county 4-H program and 2 are currently enrolled, with 2 younger children at home.
She is currently the club leader of the Friendly 4-Corners 4-H Club, one of the most active clubs in Van Buren County. They are very active in community service and have had a Pioneer Grant project for 11 years. She currently is serving on the county 4-H Task Force and has served on the County 4-H Committee. Her club was highlighted at the 4-H Legislative Day in 2003. One daughter, Jacqueline has served on the State 4-H Council and got to meet Pres. Bush at the 2003 Iowa State Fair. Michelle encourages Educational Presentations at the county fair and is serving as Superintendent of the 4-H Personal Development Division.
