Norm and Marlene Backhaus have dedicated a combined total of 34 years to the Worth County 4-H. They served as leaders of the Danville Dandy Thrifters 4-H club 27 years and served on the 4-H Committee for 7 years. Norm and Marlene's children, Rick, Darcy, Brett and Nicole, all excelled in their 4-H project work that has carried into very successful adult careers. The Backhaus children were recognized for several State and National 4-H Project awards thanks to the efforts, guidance and leadership they received from their parents, Marlene and Norm.
Worth County 4-H members and families have been touched in many positive ways thanks to the dedication and extra efforts Norm and Marlene have given them.
