Helen began her 4-H involvement as a youth in Richardson County in Nebraska. For 14 years, Helen was the leader of the Red Oak Rustlers 4-H club in Montgomery County. In addition, she served on the county 4-H and Youth committee.
Helen was the 4-H and Youth program assistant for Montgomery County for 17 years, working 17 county fairs. Since her retirement 10 years ago from Extension work, Helen has continued helping with the judging at the Montgomery County Fair.
