Rhea Klaus and her husband Raymond live in Colesburg, Iowa. Rhea was the 4-H program assistant in Delaware County from 1970 to 1980. In that role she supported the total 4-H program in Delaware County under the supervision of County Extension Education Directors Bob Hall and Rod Hamer.
Rhea has dedicated her life to helping others in many ways. Her 4-H involvement began as a 4-H leader from 1957 to 1970, when she started work at the Delaware County Extension office. Since her retirement in 1980, Rhea continues to volunteer with 4-H activities at the Delaware County Fair.
In 1997, Rhea received the Ruby Clover Award in recognition of her 30 years of service to 4-H. Her work throughout the years has been exemplary and she often worked long hours to complete difficult tasks. Rhea has been a positive influence in the lives of many local youth and is held in high regard by fellow volunteers and co-workers.
